It is very likely that Galaxy S21 owners will not have to wait too long to experience improvements that Android 12 brings, as the One UI 4 beta will be up for testing sometime in September. Though its full version in Android 12 is expected to be rolled out to more devices later this year, Galaxy S21 owners are looking forward to signing up for the beta.
In a post in Korean language on the Samsung Community forum, the Beta Operations Manager announced that the One UI 4 beta will be available for early testing.
It remains unknown whether the new Material You design language will be added into One Ui 4. Considering that it is much inspired by Samsung’s One UI design language, it may not be a drastic change in the version. Notably, Dynamic Color – Google’s name for the Pixel-exclusive automatic color-theming experience will not be available in other other Android 12-powered phones in its current form.
The One UI 3.1.1 has been rolled out to more Samsung phones, including both older Fold and Flip phones, with new multitasking features that make full use of the foldable form factor. The Korean giant has come up with a ton of ideas and been ready to deliver them to One UI 4. We are just a few short days away to find out what they are.
In the US Community Forum, Samsung also confirmed in its post that the One UI 4.0 beta will soon be rolled out to Galaxy S21 series on Sprint and T-Mobile. It will also be open to unlocked Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra phones in the US.
The One UI 4.0 update will bring a plenty of new features, including a renewed interface with innovative icons and an updated color palette. Samsung may also remove ads in the update, although there has been not any official confirmation yet.
